Join us for a fun and insightful stargazing experience in the Blue Mountains. This tour is a great nighttime activity for all ages View the celestial wonders only visible from the Southern hemisphere away from the city lights.
Astrophysicist Dimitri Douchin, PhD and his partner Caroline will be your hosts on this voyage into space. Experience an introduction to the celestial dance of planets, satellites, navigation, the Universe, our home Galaxy and beyond...

- Children (4-15 years old)
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Parents may also bring children under 3 years of age at no cost.
Location & Times
We will meet at the Wentworth Falls Picnic area, at Wentworth Falls lookout, a short 10-minute drive from the iconic touristic Katoomba and a short 5-minute walk from the carpark. This is the second lookout after the Jamison Lookout.

Self-Drive
Enter “Wentworth Falls Picnic Area” in Google Maps and drive along. It is about a 1h20 drive from Sydney.
Wentworth Falls Picnic Area is at the end of Falls Road and Sir H Burrell Drive.
There is plenty of car parking (designated disabled parking spaces) a few metres away from the meeting point.
There are taxis at the Wentworth Falls station.
Train
If you are taking the train, you can stop at Wentworth Falls train station.
Enjoy the 2-hour scenic train ride from Central Sydney. Then a 35-minute walk to the picnic area.
Walking
A refreshing 35-minute stroll from Wentworth Falls Station, walk west along the A32 from the station and turn left on Falls drive. Keep walking all the way until you arrive at the picnic area. If you are joining our second tour, make sure you walk safely in the dark, bring a torch or check if you have enough battery on your phone if you use it as a torch.
